Fathers! Be good to your daughters! What has no one heard that song! John Mayer, hello?
Obviously, mine hasn't.
"Charlotte, you're so fat."
"Charlotte, stop eating that!"
"Charlotte, you're so stupid! Why can't you get this already!"
"Charlotte, I will not hesitate to hit you."
Yeah, thanks, Daddy, I love you too.

...does you dad say those things to you?
Yep. That's what made me bulimic for a year until I got over it.
oh..I'm sorry...maybe you should talk to him about it!
=S I guess the good thing is that you're not bulimic anymore right?
Right, I am over that and am trying to help a friend who is like that. Still, sometimes it makes me hate myself and I get really upset over it. I'm a bubbly person at school, so when people call me and hear me crying, they freak out. So it's hard sometimes...
I just have to remind myself that my dad isn't perfect, but God is and He loves me and made me the way I am--not the best at math and way too talkative at times! :)
yes keep reminding yourself that everyday =]
Yeah, it was hard because he did it again today.
I started panicking because I could feel the urge to sink back into bulimia, but I called up my BFF Sarah, and I rode my bike through the woods to her house and she met up with me and we sat in the middle of the road and played with scorpions and talked. Which is, you know, WEIRD, but for us it just worked. She is a good shoulder for me to lean on as I learn to build my OWN confidence. :)
So yeah, I would recommend to anyone struggling at all to get a really great friend who listens, who never would betray you, and who would do the weirdest things with you and think nothing of it except, "I love you; you're beautiful; you're my best friend; your dad needs to know the truth about what he does to you."
